The House was built in four phases:  first, the central block with the column facade was erected about 20 years ago(900sqft).  Later a small deck was added to the rear of the house overlooking the woods.  This deck was then extended to the width of the house (300 sq ft)  and soon after two wings - an enlarged avian nursery and a master bedroom suite were added off the porch (480 sqft).  The porch was then enclosed and furnished, and a large deck was added to the rear of the hosue (360 sqft), and lastly in 2007, the library opening from the master bedroom and from the deck was added. (240sqft)  The most recent addition is that of an arbor gate of columns on the north end of the deck.

The Manor House

The house evolved from a small lodge of 900 square feet to its present size of 1680 feet with a 360 foot obserfvation deck.  The basic tradtional design is southern Federal, with white clapboard siding and black shutters and accents.  In 2010 the original boxed columns were replaced with round Tuscan style columns on plinth bases.
